Welcome to my website!This website contains thoughts of a self-proclaimed freethinker, mad scientist (see the intro to the Replicator project, my up to date tech blog http://replicator.almende.com/ and my forum) and traveler. Let me first introduce some nice initiatives, forums and communities I found online.
Couchsurfing is a worldwide initiative that gives foreigners and countrymen the opportunity to sleep on your couch, so you can show them all the cool places in your city. And the other way around of course! I was in March in Stuttgart and Zürich, where I got to know a lot more underground clubs for example, then if I would have to figure them out on my own (like the Hive Club, and Zukunft).
Bookcrossing is basically a tracking mechanism. You can put books that you don't wanna read or want others to read in a plastic bag with a tag. The finder can register the book, and the owner can the book. It's seeing the world as one big free library.
The ignobel prices are for really funny experiments having often to do with sex, shit, drugs and rock 'n roll. They have very noble motivations, yeah sure! I think to laugh is already healthy enough. :-)
